Viking has been neutered and retired from breeding. He is just one of those males that can't handle being confined, and I simply can't do that to one of my babies. Having strong, happy and healthy cats is my main goal. I do have some of his offspring still out there producing kittens so his legacy will be carried on. And you may see Viking out on the show scene as a premier some day soon. He has already gotten fat and furry since being neutered. We are just waiting for more hormones to settle. 

Viking attained his Grand Champion status in CFA at the "Cave Show" located in Meramac Caverns in Stanton, MO on 10/2/99 at the age of 10 months, which for a lilac is excellent! He is a big, strong guy that is very gentle with the other cats and especially likes to play with the kittens.

Viking loves to show and has attained some pretty prestigious awards during his show career. In June, 1999 at the age of just barely 7 mos. old, he received 2 Best of Breed awards and 2nd Best Birman Kitten in Show Award at the Annual Gulf Shore National Birman Show located in Fort Worth, TX. 

Viking also did well at the International Show receiving 3rd Best Birman in Championship beating out the 2 seal point grands, which for those of you unfamiliar with showing lilacs, is a pretty awesome experience!
