Russpurrz Birmans is run and operated by me,
I received my first birman in 1991, Whiskers, a beautiful blue point male. We took him to three cat shows in three associations and even though we knew little about what we were doing, he did get one final in ACFA, and obtained Champion status in both TICA and CFA. He won our hearts and sold us on the breed. So in 1992, we attained our foundation queen, Camejoh's Princess Mia of Russpurrz, a very sweet seal point. Then in 1993 we had our first litter of birman kittens. And, while we have had our share of heartache and great joy and success, we have been showing and raising the little cutey heads ever since. The cats are free to roam where they please most of the time. The boys are caged, but they are in big walk-in type cages and are allowed to run several times a week. My husband, Randy, is a Pipe Welder, who loves the cats most of the time, but really doesn't help too much. My two children Jeff, age 20 and Kristan, age 17, help me out a great deal. Jeff is a big sports fan, a good baseball player and a straight A student. And, while he used to travel with me to cat shows, he's usually too busy with that now that he's gotten older and is now in college studying engineering.
Kristan is a big animal lover like her mother. She used to travel with me to many cat shows, but now is older and has a part time job that keeps her busy most weekends. She herself has two pet rabbits (One pictured with me above). Any number of tropical fish and usually a couple of hermit crabs are among her pets. Not to mention all the cats. Kristan is a wonderful in gymnast and is hoping to become a Flight Attendant when she grows up which will then help me greatly in transporting cats all over the country and perhaps the world.
